An exciting opportunity for kids to use their creativity during the school holidays, and to gain skills and experience in crafting song lyrics and music.
Attendees will be introduced to practical lyric and melody writing techniques. Whether they have recently found songwriting as a passion, have always had an interest in music making, or would love something creative to do during the holidays, this is the perfect opportunity to learn something new.
The methods taught in the workshop include, stream of consciousness writing, playing around with mumbling/gibberish lyrics, and using melody to guide word choice. This workshop is designed for curious young writers, singers, musicians and for young artists with a love of songwriting.
