Professional Learning Workshops

All Professional Learning will support teachers and school leaders in maximising learning opportunities for young people. The Centre caters Professional Learning workshops to specific needs, including School Leaders, Teachers, Pre-service Teachers, and Educators at Teaching Universities.

This professional development will be underpinned by the three interrelated strands of Language, Literature, and Literacy of the English Learning Area, with a focus on the General Capabilities. Our professional learning will assist teachers in supporting student knowledge, skills, and dispositions to interpret and use language confidently for learning and communication.

Our diverse range of workshops includes but is not limited to:

• Picture Books and the West Australian Curriculum
• The Power of Picture Books
• Exploring Visual Literacy
• The Art of Persuasion
• Poetry Workshops
• Creative Writing Workshops

In addition to our standard Professional Learning offerings, we are also able to create bespoke workshops to fit specific contexts and needs. These bespoke workshops will be priced on a case-by-case basis.
