Healthy Poem Competition
We've partnered with Healthway to give young writers the chance to win some amazing vouchers to purchase a stack of books from our online bookshop! To enter we're asking young people to write a poem on the theme of healthy eating. Any type of poem is accepted but must be no more than 20 lines. Judges will be looking for the most creative entries linked to the theme of healthy eating.
Three winners will receive a $100 voucher each to spend at The Literature Centre's online bookshop. The competition opens on September 13, 2023. The competition closes on October 24, 2023. It is open to Australian primary and secondary students. The winners are notified on November 16 and announced on November 20. Full Terms & Conditions
- One entry per child
- Poems to be no more than 20 lines and identifiably linked to the theme of healthy eating
- Poems submitted must be original works
- We are looking for poems that are creative and linked to healthy eating. Please see criteria below
- Three winning entries will be awarded $100 vouchers each to spend at The Literature Centre's bookshop, to be delivered in a time and method made agreeable to both parties in advance
- The winning vouchers can not be exchanged for cash
- Employees of The Literature Centre, Healthway, or their family members or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition
- There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition
- The winner will be selected by a panel of judges from The Literature Centre and Healthway from entries that have correctly followed the guidelines and verified by the promoter and/or its agent
- The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected
- The winner will be notified by email and/or phone call by November 16 2023. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 2 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner
- The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into
- By entering this competition, an entrant’s guardian is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions
- The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by Australian law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia
- The winners agree to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent
- The winners agree that their entry (poem) has the potential to be used in future The Literature Centre and/or Healthway collateral
- The winners consent to having their entry (poem) published on The Literature Centre’s website
- Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions
