We've partnered with Healthway to bring you an epic Healthy Hero Competition for WA Primary School students. Over $600 in prizes to be won for three lucky individuals!
Competition Form
The Quest Is On! Design the ultimate Healthy Hero who powers up with a daily dose of 2 fruits and 5 veggies. Follow the steps below and complete your entry form for a chance to win.
1. Create Your Character
Bring your Healthy Hero to life in 200 words or less! Share their name, their epic story, and how fruits and veggies supercharge their day. Make sure your hero:
Supercharges their brainpower with 2 fruits and 5 veggies daily.
Stays energised and adventure-ready with healthy snacks.
Shows how fruits and veggies power up their strength.
2. Craft Your Journal Entry
Show us how your hero’s healthy eating habits power their daily quests. Write a journal entry from their point of view or design a one-page visual journal. Need some inspiration? Here are a few ideas:
Written Diary: Share a day in your hero’s life, supercharged by healthy eating.
Picture Journal: Draw your hero in action, energised by fruits and veggies.
Scrapbook Journal: Create a lively page with images and notes about your hero’s healthy habits.
Map Journal: Draw a map of your hero’s favourite spots and healthy activities.
Collage Journal: Assemble a collage of your hero's health-packed adventures.

4. Submit Your Hero’s Epic Journey

Optional Classroom Activities
Teachers are encouraged to incorporate the competition into their classroom activities. Here are some fun ideas to start:

Create a Comic Strip or Short Story: Use the character to create a comic strip or short story that showcases their adventures and healthy eating habits.

Write a Persuasive Letter: Craft a persuasive letter from your Healthy Hero’s perspective, championing the benefits of eating 2 fruits and 5 veggies every day.

Interview: Conduct a mock interview where students play the role of a reporter and their Healthy Hero is the guest, asking questions about their hero’s healthy eating habits and adventures.

Design Character Trading Cards: Design trading cards featuring your Healthy Heroes to use for writing prompts or creative class challenges.

Scavenger Hunt: Create a scavenger hunt where students search for items related to healthy eating and sustainability. Each item or clue can reflect the habits of their Healthy Heroes.

Storytelling Circle: Set up a storytelling circle where students share a short story or adventure featuring their Healthy Hero. This can be done verbally or with illustrations.
- Community Impact Project: Have students brainstorm and propose a community project that their Healthy Hero would undertake, like starting a school garden or a recycling initiative, to show real-world impact.
