Children’s author Cristy Burne has performed in a science circus, worked as a garbage analyst, and was a reporter at CERN when they turned on the Large Hadron Collider. She has worked as a science communicator for 20 years across Australia, Japan, Switzerland, the UK, US, South Africa, and beyond.
Cristy’s latest books include junior fiction Beneath the Trees, CBCA Notable non-fiction Zeroes and Ones, and narrative non-fiction Aussie STEM Stars: Fiona Wood, shortlisted for the 2021 Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards.
Cristy is also co-author of the science-meets-magic Wednesday Weeks series of middle-grade fantasy adventures.
