Chenée Marrapodi is a children’s writer, journalist and podcaster, based in Perth, Western Australia.
Chenée has worked in the media industry for almost a decade, formerly as a television reporter for Channel Seven. Her work has also featured on WAtoday.com.au, Radio 6PR and in Landscope Magazine. It has seen her win multiple awards, including Best New Journalist at the 2014 WA Media Awards.
Chenée’s love of words is rivalled only by her love of dance and the Italian language. Combining these, One Wrong Turn is her debut middle grade novel. Chenée has also been published in Three Can Keep a Secret, a flash fiction anthology by Night Parrot Press.
Chenée is an engaging and passionate presenter who offers creative writing and journalism workshops for both primary and secondary students. She can focus on creative writing (growing an idea and developing characters, messy first draft), and journalism (sniffing out a good story, interview techniques, how to write an article or review).
