Gavin Shearing brings a wealth of experience in financial management and strategic planning to his role as Treasurer of The Literature Centre. Currently serving as the Manager of Strategic Financial Advice at Curtin University, Gavin has a proven track record in driving financial efficiency and supporting strategic objectives. Prior to joining Curtin, Gavin has over twenty years of senior leadership experience across public, private & non-profit sectors including as CFO for the Foundation for Educational Digital Development.
Gavin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from Curtin University and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia. His expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and stakeholder management makes him an invaluable asset to The Literature Centre's board.
In addition to his professional achievements, Gavin is passionate about supporting community development and the arts. As Treasurer, Gavin is committed to ensuring the financial health and sustainability of The Literature Centre, supporting its mission to promote literature and creative learning across WA.
