We are seeking passionate educators and administrators to help us deliver our creative learning programs


Creative Learning Coordinator

Are you an organized person with a passion for writing, storytelling, picture books and literacy?

We are recruiting someone to coordinate our education programs in 2024. The Literature Centre provides quality student workshops and writing programs from primary through to secondary across Western Australia, inspires teachers with professional learning opportunities, and supports Australia’s Authors and Illustrators of Literature for young people.

We are looking for someone with strong project management and communication skills and desirable-only some knowledge of Western Australia's education system. The position will be the key point of contact for schools we work with and will coordinate a schedule of creative learning workshops, matching an available pool of teachers and artists to the creative learning needs of schools.

We can offer a safe, collaborative, flexible and stimulating environment to work in. This is a part time role, 22.5 hours per week (0.6), $75,000 per annum pro rata

Casual Teacher Pool

Are you an educator or an education assistant with a passion for writing, storytelling, picture books and literacy?

We are recruiting for people with teaching experience, resilience and innovation to develop and deliver our Creative Learning Programs. The Literature Centre provides quality student workshops and writing programs from primary through to secondary across Western Australia, inspires teachers with professional learning opportunities, and supports Australia’s authors and illustrators of literature for young people.

We are looking for a pool of up to five Creative Learning Associates with at least five years teaching experience, who will be available to deliver literature, exhibition and creative writing workshops and professional learning aligned with the WA curriculum from the start of Term 1 2024. We will provide induction and training and match your experience, skills and availability with our workshop bookings throughout the school year. Some regional travel may be required.

We are also looking for Education Assistants or pre-service teachers to work casually to support the delivery of our Young Writers Program.

We can offer a safe, collaborative, flexible and stimulating environment to work in. Teachers and Education Assistants in our pool will be remunerated at rates commensurate with relief rates paid in WA schools.
