Julia Lawrinson is an award-winning YA and children’s author who has presented at schools, conferences and festivals across Australia, in Singapore and Indonesia and the United States. She works with all ages, and adapts her material and writing workshops to fit with student needs. Her books are about friendship, family and the occasional Jack Russell. Her latest book for primary readers is Mel and Shell.​

Julia's workshops focus on encouraging students to think of themselves as writers; generating ideas; how to write character; editing; and using your life as a basis for writing.
