Vikki Wakefield

Vikki was born in Adelaide and worked in banking, journalism, communications and graphic design before enrolling in TAFE's Advanced Diploma of Arts (Professional Writing) in 2009. Her articles have been published in newspapers and magazines. Vikki is an award-wining short story writer and has two short film scripts currently in production.

All I Ever Wanted is her first novel. It was shortlisted for numerous awards including the Victorian Premier's Book Awards 2012, Queensland Literary Awards 2012, NSW Premier's Literary Awards 2012, Gold Inky Awards 2011 and was winner of the Adelaide Festival Award for Literature, 2012.

Friday Brown is the breathtaking second novel from Vikki. Once again her outstanding work has been shortlisted for numerous awards. Friday Brown was also the winner of the Adelaide Festival Award for Literature for Young Adult Fiction 2014 and was awarded Honour Book by the Children’s Book Council of Australia in 2013.
