Raewyn Caisley

Raewyn lives in Fremantle with her husband, Terry, son Jack and her cat 'Ginger Fish'!  Raewyn was born in New Zealand but has lived in Australia for over 20 years, zig-zagging back and forth between Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Brisbane.


For a while Raewyn worked as a Primary School teacher and always had a lot of fun in her class during writing time.  She has also met a lot of great 'characters' whilst teaching, with some of them inspiration for her books.


Raewyn writes a range of books for children and young adults, from first chapter books to junior fiction novels.  She has a series of books published relating to different sports with titles including Not Cricket, Tennis Star, Top Marks, Free Style, and Hot Shot


In the Aussie Bites series of books Raewyn has had Monkey Trix published, whilst in the Aussie Nibbles series her books include The Mermaid’s Tail, Tai’s Penguin (both illustrated by Ann James), Joe’s Boat and more recently The Big Waves.


Raewyn loves being a writer, especially a children's writer. She says, "It's wonderful being able to make children smile, to see their imaginations awakening and hopefully inspire them."
